It’s a KINGDOM MAN MINDSET thing. You wouldn’t understand!

Committment is everything

I heard a great story when I was a kid. It really hit me hard and has stuck with me until today. There was a preacher who spoke so effectively one Sunday that a man pulled the preacher aside after the service was over and said, “Wow preacher, you really inspired me and convicted me.” The man announced, ‘I’m going to quit smoking!” The preacher was so excited and blessed. We all know that sometimes we wonder if what we said made a difference. The preacher replied, “That’s awesome! Next Sunday I’m going to anounce it to the church!” The man said, “Oh no, don’t do that!” The preacher questioned, “Why not?” The man answered, ” If you announce it in front of the entire church, I’ll really have to quit!” Folks, the fact is sometimes you just have to jump. You just have to put some skin in the game. If you really want to change, you have to allow other people to hold you accountable.

Commitment VS Involvement

It only takes one. It doesn’t matter if you are the only one who steps up. It doesn’t matter if you are gifted. As a matter of fact being gifted is sometimes a detriment. You just have to say, “I’ll do it.” When you say, “I’ll do it”, you just started “Life Momentum”. When you become the pebble that starts the ripple, watch out your life is about to change.

We all think things have to be in our favor to start. That’s a lie straight from the pit of Hell. Things in your life will never be optimal to start a hard thing. As a matter of fact, many people start hard things when their lives are at rock bottom. You don’t have to wait until that happens. You can just start small. You’ll never feel good enough, have enough money(you don’t need money to do great things), or have all your ducks in a row. That never happens. The ones who make the difference just jump.

It just takes one. One to say “I’ll do it”, one to say, “I don’t care what others think, I’m going, and count me in.” It’s true, I’ve seen sheep turn into lions because of a mindset change and grit. You really want to accelerate the change? Find a like minded group to run with, train with, and get gassed up from. Don’t be surprised when you find out the group is small. That’s ok, twelve men changed the world as we know it.
